Amrita Rao (Born 17 June 1981) is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films.
Beginning her career as a model, Rao made her acting debut with Ab Ke Baras (2002) for which she won her best debut award. She then starred in Ken Ghosh's love-story Ishq Vishk (2003) and earned a Filmfare nomination in the Best Female Debut category.

Rani Mukherjee does audience-friendly and entertaining films only

Rani Mukherjee is as strong as a rock and is not hurt or unmoved by criticisms. She states “I want to do films that are audience-friendly and entertaining.”

She added “I am a heroine of the masses. I want to be watched by the world, rather than just one section. Very few people watch offbeat and niche films. With films like No One Killed Jessica, I want to maintain that balance.”

Totally impressed by Kiran Rao’s debut film “Dhobi Ghat”, she immediately asked her “when are you working with me next?”

“My first choice will always be commercial cinema, but once in a while, when a film like Dhobi Ghat comes along, a film that you don’t have to give so much of your time to, and where you fall in love with the character, then why not?”

The year 2011 opened well for Rani as her film “No One Killed Jessica” was the first successful film of the year.

Her next project is Zoya Akhtar’s untitled film with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Rani has recently been crowned with the title of the Great Women Award for the actress of the decade.

Sonakshi-Katrina to do a raunchy item track

It is going to be a lavish treat to see Sonakshi Sinha and Katrina Kaif groove together on one platform. Well, the sweet Sonakshi ans the sultry Katrina will be seen together in a zippy track in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’. And if sources are to be believed, the track will be as sizzling as ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ or probably even hotter than that.

Bowled over the raunchy item tracks, ‘Munni and Sheila’, Sonakshi now wants her own song imprint. In fact, the lassie even requested filmmaker Farah Khan who finally heeded her leading lady’s wish and granted her more than what was asked for.

A source familiar with the matter revealed, “Sonakshi is a fabulous dancer and she wants that aspect of her personality to come out. She kept telling Farah she wanted her own ‘Munni and Sheila’. Not only Sonakshi but even her parents were keen to see her dance on screen.”

The shoot for Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ will begin from Feb. 14 in Chandigarh.

Kangana Ranaut plays a bold and bindaas girl in the upcoming matrimonial comedy Tanu Weds Manu.

In the movie, Mika has sung a peppy song titled Jugni. It’s a promotional track that was recently shot on the film’s lead actors Kangana and Madhavan with Mika joining in for a jig.

While filming the song, director Anand L Rai came up with the idea of making Mika kiss Kangana at the song’s end, just the way he locked lips with the item girl Rakhi Sawant a few years ago at her birthday. Kangana got cold feet at the idea of kissing the Punjabi singer.

The antic was intended to be funny, but Kangana wasn’t comfortable in being kissed by Mika. So she told the director to axe the kiss.

Lara Dutta’s BIG day.. 19 February..

February 19th is a BIG day for the very gorgeous Lara Dutta. She will tie the knot with her beau Mahesh Bhupathi in Goa. It’s going to be a dream Christian wedding for the actress.

Now, Lara being of of the most stylish babes in Bollywood, she will be seen in an Elie Saab marvelous white gown. Elie Saab is a known name for intricate, beautiful and romantic gowns.
Lara’s wedding party will see a lot of lace, candles and crystal lamps; she herself has taken the responsibility of the decorations for the post-wedding party which will be attended by many B-Town celebs.

Bride-to-be Lara Dutta is still busy at work even though she weds next week. The actress was at the launch of a luxury car on Wednesday.
